The First Church in Malden is an Open and Affirming congregation of the United Church of Christ, welcoming all into the life of the church.

Open and Affirming Statement

The First Church in Malden,
recognizing the universality of the
Gospel of Jesus Christ and
our own commission by God
to be Brothers and Sisters
to one another, state the following:

"The First Church in Malden, Congregational,
is and shall remain open and affirming of all
people regardless of race, color, appearance,
national origin, previous religious background,
economic status, gender, age, sexual orientation,
location of housing, condition of homelessness,
life style choices, condition of physical challenge,
or state of Grace."
